身幅約79cm程もある、たっぷりと余白のあるビッグシルエット。
首周りの余剰の生地が自重で波打ち、この素材/設計により生まれる生地の流れが綺麗に生まれます。
特に素晴らしい物が多い、80s issey miyakeのニットウェアですが、
ここまでのデザイン性、加えて誰もが大きく着られるこのサイズバランスは滅多に出て来ません。
僕自身初見のスペシャルな一着です。
Issey Miyake from the Fall/Winter 1984 collection
A soft, thick knit fabric made from a 90% wool/10% linen blend.
The yellow-brown/greige yarn blend creates a rich, expressive knit.
Wide shoulders, typical of a vest.
With a body width of approximately 79cm, this oversized silhouette offers ample room for extra space.
The excess fabric around the neck billows under its own weight, creating a beautiful flowing effect thanks to this material and design.
There are many wonderful pieces of 80s Issey Miyake knitwear, but it's rare to find something with such exquisite design and a size balance that allows anyone to wear it oversized.
This is a special piece that I've never seen before.
