本国イタリア製のMENPHIS MILANO
1980年代初頭のイタリアで始まった、
建築家やアーティスト等様々なジャンルの若き才能が集まったデザイングループ。
先月に一着、80年代のこのブランドを代表する様なトップピースを紹介させていただきましたが、
今回は少し違う角度のモチーフ、ベクトルの異なる良さを感じる一枚です。
手書きの様な染料が乗った風合いの良いコットンシャンブレー。
土や石、地層を思わせる様な、どこか原始的なモチーフ。
このモチーフが活きる縦長のワイドシルエット(着丈85cm/身幅58cm)
ハーフスリーブのシャツアイテムでこのシルエットバランス。
ポケットを跨ぐ総柄、開襟の形も綺麗な小ぶりな襟もポイントです。
僕自身日本のビンテージ市場では家具やオブジェクトしか見た事が無く、アパレルの知名度は全くと言って良い程ありませんが、
ヨーロッパやアメリカでは多数のコレクターが存在します。

A design group that started in Italy in the early 1980s, bringing together young talents from various genres, such as architects and artists.
A cotton chambray with a nice texture that has a print that looks hand painted、
A somewhat primitive motif reminiscent of soil, stone, and strata.
A vertical wide silhouette that makes use of this motif (length 85cm/width 58cm)
The all-over pattern that straddles the pockets, and the small collar with a beautiful open collar are also highlights.
